TALKING BUSINESS LUNCHEON SERIES
BUSINESS CAPE BRETON is pleased to present a series of luncheons with speakers and topics of interest to the business community. “We will begin by highlighting a start-up business in Glace Bay which is causing quite a buzz with diners from throughout the CBRM,” said Eileen Lannon Oldford, CEO of Business Cape Breton. “ We will then move on to hear from seasoned entrepreneurs in Sydney who have expanded their successful business and relocated to a larger, beautifully renovated location."
Join us on TUESDAY, MARCH 24 AT NOON AT THE CAMBRIDGE SUITES to hear Angela Houston’s motivating story of returning to her home area, renovating an existing building on Commercial Street, and opening TALO, an upscale restaurant which has received rave reviews. Cecil Saccary, Manager of the Glace Bay Shoe Store and Chair of the Glace Bay and Area Business Association, will join Angela in discussing what a new business adds to the overall atmosphere of a downtown area.
The April 28th luncheon speakers are Steve and Katherine vanNostrand, owners of Belmac Supply, discussing their confidence in the local economy shown by the expansion of their business and their impressive new location.
Business Cape Breton is also working with the Association of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada to present luncheons and workshops in May and June on topics including Financial Survival for Entrepreneurs, The Money Side of Business, and Growth and Expansion.
