JOB OPPORTUNITIES - QUALIFICATIONS:

Welders

  • CWB qualified or ability to qualify.
  • Grinding
  • Minor Fitting
  • Ability to use oxy-acet torch and plasma cutter.

Welder/Fitters

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Layout and fitting.
  • Ability to operate Ironworker, Shear, Saw, Press brake, oxy-acet torch, Radiograph and Plasma Cutter.
  • Ability to weld all position CWB. Pipe and aluminum experience an asset.

Pipe Fitters

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to jig pipe.
  • Ability to cut fit pipe.
  • Ability to operate pipe bender.
  • Ability to track weld.

Diesel Mechanics

  • Red Seal Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Experience with marine experience working on main engines, gear boxes, compressors, pumps, shaft bearings & auxiliary generators.
  • Deck Equipment – Anchor Windlass, fairleads & deck chains.

Marine Fitters

  • Experience with marine experience working on main engines, gear boxes, compressors, pumps, shaft bearings & auxiliary generators.
  • Deck Equipment – Anchor Windlass, fairleads & deck chains.

Millwrights

  • Red Seal Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Experience with marine experience working on main engines, gear boxes, compressors, pumps, shaft bearings & auxiliary generators.
  • Deck Equipment – Anchor Windlass, fairleads & deck chains.

Machinists:

  • Able to read drawings.
  • Capable of working alone with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient on all manual lathes, milling machines, and radial arm drills.
  • Experienced on portable machining in a marine environment would be an asset.
  • Must be able to work extra hours if required.

Marine Engineers

  • Engineering background with project experience in shipbuilding, ship repair and marine structures.

Naval Architects

  • Naval background in marine design, engineering.
  • Offshore oil and gas experience an asset.
